The electrical install has been making steady progress. I managed to finally collect everything I needed to actually mount the panels.

The first attempt (see below) went well enough until I learned that the 2 1/2″ pvc male adapter I thought I could use to get the panel feeders into the building wasn’t to code.

Attempt #1 at getting the meterbase set on the new shop. That PVC male adapter in the bottom of the box was a no-go so off to HomeDepot I went to get the proper parts.

Turns out I needed a specific service entrance adapter and they only work on a single cable at a time.

With the correct parts in hand it was back to work getting the meter box installed correctly with the feeders inside. I had to make a new hole since there can be only one cable through a connector at a time.

That done it was on to the distro panels on the inside.

The feeders you see (those big ass cables) are 4/0 aluminum and a massive pain in the ass to work with. They DO NOT like to move, bend, or cooperate in any way. Wrangling them though their respective holes in the breaker boxes was NOT easy. But they eventually ended up where they belong.
